Kenya's popular comedian Eric Omondi has earned himself a new job as an accolade as Lake Nakuru National Park’s rhino ambassador.
This announcement was made over the past weekend during the 10th edition of ‘Cycle with the Rhino’ held at the park.
The comedian’s main responsibility will be to participate in campaigns to protect the rhino species which are in danger of extinction. The national park which holds over 70 black and white rhinos has had reduced grazing lands due to rising water levels which has resulted in the animals moving to parts that make them an easy target for poachers.
The new Cycle with the rhino event is aimed at raising funds for the completion of the remaining 51 kilometre of the perimeter fence.
