Here are Photos of Mombasa Tusks After They Were Smeared With Red Paint

Last Friday morning, Mombasa residents woke up to find the city’s iconic tusks across Moi Avenue smeared with red paint.

It is still unknown who did it but the residents have vowed to investigate and arrest the guys behind it.

The culprits defaced the aluminium elephant tusks with the paint and graffiti reading  ”Mombasa Not 4 Ivory Export”, late at night. The county government promised to take action against people getting in the way of its beautification programme.
