DJ MO roughed up by cops for allegedly refusing to pay a bribe

A police officer in Naivasha arrested gospel musician and entertainer DJMO on monday evening for refusing to pay a bribe for alleged speeding and driving a car with tinted windows.
DJ MO says the cop stopped him along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway for speeding and asked for chai in order to release him.

"The officer stopped me on the highway, and told me to give him 'something small' to cover up the whole incident, but then I refused the offer. This is when things got ugly," said the dj.
"Unfortunately, the officer insisted that my car had tinted windows, and for that matter I wanted to go the station with them," he said

DJ MO added that after that incident, the police officer wanted to ride in his car but then he declined. This led to the officer calling  his six fellow officers all posted at the Naivasha police station for help.

"There is no law that states that a police officer should ride in my car," he said. The singer was later released after paying a fine of Sh10,000
