Kids from Lang'ata Road primary school have been booked for counselling to help them cope with trauma caused by the chaotic protest on Monday.
Belio Kipsang, who is the Education Principal Secretary said that his ministry will assign a team of professionals to the pupils.
Talking at the school on Wednesday, Kipsang urged the construction of a perimeter wall around the school to prevent encroachment.
According to the Assistant Counselling Services director Ruth Nyambura the mayhem during the protest was unhealthy and intolerable for the kids..
"The children might have suffered psychological shock by witnessing and being part of the violent confrontation," Ruth said
"The children are likely to have nightmares and loss of appetite and thus need psychological debriefing to overcome the experience."
Ruth also noted that those who witness or take part in terrifying events suffer post-traumatic stress disorders, and that counselling helps them.
At the demonstration against the grabbing their playground, police used tear gas to disperse pupils, school managers, parents and activists.
A few other leaders have condemned the act, saying the officers who fired the tear gas and the land grabbers must he held accountable.
