A mum has been arrested on charges of homicide after she allegedly left her young children home alone while she was getting her hair done, police in Louisiana said.
Reports from the Bastrop Police office say that the lady's two kids died in a house fire while she was at a hair salon.
Firefighters said that they are still investigating how the fire started in the house on Monday night.
According to the cops' investigation, the 21-year-old Ciarria Johnson left her children home alone for several hours as she was having her hair styled.
The kids have been identified as 4-year-old Ta'shae Thompson Johnson and 3-year-old Clifton Thompson Johnson.
The lady told the police that she had arranged for a neighbor to look after her children, but police determined that she did not.
Ciarra only came back home after being contacted by the fire department. There were two gas heaters which were still when Johnson left the home.
The fire is said to have been caused by flammable material of the heater in the living room. The mother has been charged with two counts of negligent homicide.
