One of the most Celebrated TV talk show host in the country Jeff Koinange spent a whooping Sh 1 million for a painting done by Jak Katarikawe.
It happened during the exhibition of paintings by the Ugandan artist that opened on August 31 through December at the Nairobi Gallery, which is next to Nyayo House. The million painting titled Dream is a semi-abstract oil on canvas that tells the story of an elephant that went on safari and on coming back, found his best buddy with his wife in bed.
Speaking to the Nairobian, Jeff said that he has been collecting art by Jak Katarikawe for many years. “Amazing stuff!” he added.
He also posted a photo on social media hanging out with the legendary artist. He said: Hanging out with the GREAT Artist, Jak Katarikawe at his latest exhibition at the Old PC’s office..Smmmmokin!
