Voting officially begins in Homa Bay County

Voters in Homa Bay started casting their ballot in senatorial by-election Thursday morning amid tight security.

the voting centers already have long queues in most of the polling stations in the county as residents elect their senate representative following the death of the late Otieno Kajwang’ last year.
The voting officially began at 6am in most polling stations and no incidents have so far been reported.


About 2,000 police officers have been deployed in the county after intelligence reports warned that chaos could disrupt the by-election.
