Homa bay senatorial aspirant and former NSSF managing trustee Mr. Fred Rabongo has rejoined the ODM party two months after defecting from it to join National Alliance Party of Kenya.
Fred was among some aspirants who were not pleased with the party leader Raila Odinga's decision to nominate Kajwang for the senatorial race. He Joined NAK to run for the senatorial seat but didn't even et enough votes to make him popular.
Fred is said to have met with the ODM party and opposition leader Raila Odinga at his office to discuss the move back to ODM. Rabongo is said to have been in the company of a mutual friend Erastus Okul who brought the two together for the two hour meeting.
Rabongo was the only aspirant who was not angry with the outcome, judging by the speech he made as he congratulated the new Homa Bay senator Moses Kajwang after the win.
Rabongo is also said to be a close friend to Raila's family and was a good friend to the late Fidel Odinga.
