The Kayole Lady who was last year stripped and assaulted in by people believed to be matatu conductors wants the case against the accused six who also robbed her, to be withdrawn.
Regina Nyambura, has also said that she has forgives them.
According to a local newspaper, the prosecution team rejected the application on grounds that the matter was of public interest and that violent robbery is a serious offence in the country.
Although the recent reason to withdraw the case isn't clear, Regina who was stripped naked and assaulted has claimed that appearing in court was taking too much of her time.
“I just want to forgive them; they are just like my brothers, and I have a lot to do including providing for my children. I’m not expecting any payment for that. I believe they have suffered enough and learnt their lesson.” She told the Court.
The court however urged the complainant to consider the charges before withdrawing since it is a matter of public interest and the case might be considered the six vs the state.
