21 year old Nokuthula Hlongwane looked normal and happy a week days before she she decided to take her own life, in fact she looked happier than ever, little did anyone know that she was planning to end her own life.
Beginning of that week on Monday, she left to say goodbye to her colleagues. and everybody thought she was quitting her job probably for greener pastures.His boyfriend Scelo, also though that his girlfriend had bigger plans and was going to surprise him.
The next day, Scelo called her phone but no one answered, he later received shocking news that Nokuthula had jumped 13 floors to her death.
Scelo told the local daily “What I’m feeling is beyond pain. I didn’t see it coming. We talked about everything . . . or so I thought.”
According to the boyfriend, her womb had been paining her since 2012.
“When the pain got serious, she wouldn’t go to work and I could see she felt useless,” Scelo said.
A few days before her death, her womb had starting paining her but this time she had a plan and no one knew.
After quitting, she went home and posted things on her Facebook page. Her last posting was 24 photos of herself with the caption: “Before I go to heaven”.
Then she left messages for Scelo about an important letter for him on her laptop.
“I tried phoning but her phone just rang. The next morning I got the call,” said a sobbing Scelo.
In her last letter Nokuthula said that she wanted to relieve her family and friends off the burden of caring for her and she thought it would be wise to end her life. RIP
