Drama unfolded at Kerugoya police station when the area member of parliament and residents stormed the police station to confiscate bhang which was confiscated last week.
Hon. Gachoka Gitari led his constituency residence to demanded that the bhang which is said to have been nabbed during a crackdown on illicit brew be returned to its owner at Kiriathi village.
Gachoka claimed that the bhang mysteriously disappeared from the station and had allegedly been sold by the police officers.
Kirinyaga Deputy commander Charles Ontita came in to help calm the situation and explained that the vehicle said to have been carrying the bhang was empty and that there was no bhang. He also said that investigations are currently ongoing and the officers found guilty will be prosecuted.
