The Kenyan government has been against institution rankings due to various reasons, this has been met with mixed reactions especially by the parents who insist they prefer ranking so they would know the best school to take their kids.
The government however, argues that the school ranking increases corruption rather than competitiveness and some institution have been accused of just concentrating on academics and overworking students just for the purpose of ranking higher.
With the latest University ranking, the data doesn't come from the government but reliable outside sources. The ranking factors include their Academics, rate of impact, presence, openness including other few factors.
With the world university ranking coming in September, those who cant wait can rely on the recent university ranking that was done a few months ago. Of the more than 63 universities in the country, these are the top 20 best universities in the Kenya.
