In many african cultures, they believe that when the harvest is great, the 'season' normally comes to collect their own. Death is always predicted when the plants in the shamba start to show good signs. Sometimes its not always true but I strongly believe that in an individual point of view, death can be seen before it comes, especially by those whom it has come to get.
Of the many celebrities we have covered their stories, those who have died always have some sot of hinch that something is not quite right, not to say that they always want to die, but there is that feeling that you can't quite explain.
The recent case we have seen is of one Kevin Muita who passed away last week due to Asthma related complication. The boy had lost his auntie a week before and he decided to pen down a heartfelt message for her. In the letter she wrote of how they will soon meet somewhere very near but just like all those who are soon departing, he never had that realization that in a week's time he will be joining her and laugh together as they used to.
RIP Kevin. Here is his last facebook post.
R.I.P Auntie Carol ..
But this is exactly what I like to think she would have wanted everyone to think…
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is
untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
