At least one person has been killed and a few others seriously injured in a gunfire that broke out on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville, police have reported.
The shooting which is said to have occurred around 11 pm on Thursday started from a dispute over a dice game in a courtyard, police said.
The police report did not say whether those involved in the shooting were students, and it is still unclear whether those involved has been taken into custody or not.
From the shooting site, three people were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and were accounted for according to Nashville emergency communication center.
This comes bare a week after three people were shot and wounded during a house party near the same university campus.
There has been a series of shootings and gun violence in the past few months across the US and this has prompted a debate on the US Gun policy, some saying there is been to have more strict rules on heavy arms and ammunitions
