`A
mysterious thing happened during a burial in a village in Mumias, Kakamega
County, where unexpectedly a coffin burst into flames and left mourners
shocked.
The fire is
said to have started from the interior of the Coffin of the late Evaline
Ndombi. The flame consumed the deceased clothes and the body suffered from a few
burns on the legs.
According to
the family members the deceased seemed to be angered since her wishes before
her death were not adhered to. They said the said the deceased did not want a
new house put up before she is buried but this was disregarded and they believe
the occurrence at the burial was due to her anger.
This has
forced the family to change the burial date to Saturday using the same
partially burnt coffin.
