Mombasa hospital is on fire and the cause of fire is not known up until now. The fire broke out a few hours ago and fire brigade are on the grounds trying to contain it. The Red Cross is also helping by evacuating those injured and those stuck inside the hospital.
This is the biggest private hospital in Mombasa with a capacity of 125 beds. The fire fighters are going room after the other looking for people who are trapped inside. The Kenya Red Cross reports that patients evacuated from the hospital are being admitted to Aga Khan hospital.
Mombasa Gavana Ali Hassan Joho has tweeted a sympathy message to the patients affected by the fire.
