Last Friday President Uhuru Kenyatta commissioned the Ol-Karia 4 Geothermal power plant in Rift Valley.
The new power plant which will add 140 megawatts into the national power grid is expected to lower the power cost in the country by at least 40% .
He also promised that plans are already underway to reduce the cost of electricity even further in the coming year.
During the ceremony, the president reaffirmed the Jubilee government's commitment to reduce the cost of living and that of doing business in the country.
