Fake Gynecologist mugo wa Wairimu has finally been released from police custody.
Mugo, celebrated his release after spending some time in police custody following denial of bail. He was accused of raping women who came to his clinic and practicing without a licence.
Mugo denied the charges but the prosecution argued that he must be imprisoned as they suspected he might try to flee.
He had to pay kshs. 5 million as bond, and immediately took to his social media account to celebrate the release
"Free at last! Free at last! Free at last," he later wrote.
"The 40 days and 40 nights of torment have only strengthened me and hardened my resolve."
He was accused of sedating and raping countless number of women who could not come out to defend themselves due to lack of evidence since when the act was happening they were unconscious and don't have hard evidence.
The quack doctor had been held up at the industrial area prison since september 10 after his arrest following an expose by a local TV station.
