A 72 year old granny died after her house in Kolero, Rachuonyo, caught fire while she was still inside.
Filinika Onyango is said to have been taken care of by her grandchildren but none of them was around during the sad incident.
The area assistant Chief, Michael Aoro, said that the fire suddenly started at night and neighbours rushed to help her but it was too late.
The cause of the fire is still a mystery and investigations are underway.
