A body of a 45 year old lady who was mentally ill was yesterday found dumped along the road in Lanet, Nakuru County.
Rose Mumbi, who is a mother of one, is suspected to have been murdered because her body had deep cuts in her neck, head and her limbs were broken.
Peter Nyekera, a local clinician from the dispensary in the area, stumbled upon her body at 5 in the morning while going to work and informed the Chief.
Chief Franscis Kariuki said that he suspects Mumbi was killed by thugs after being raped. He said that the woman had a mental problem and was still under medication.
Her body was taken to the mortuary for a post-mortem.
