Gospel singer Amani’s husband, Chinasa Udeala, has been appointed the new General Manager for Safaricom’s Songa Music.
In a statement to the media, Safaricom described Mr Udeala as one of “Africa’s top music streaming business experts” who was, until his appointment to Songa, the Regional Director East Africa of Boom play Music where he helped expand the streaming business significantly.
Mr Udeala has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North London and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing from University of Greenwich–London.
Speaking to the press, Mr Udeala expressed his excitement about his new role at kenya's biggest telecommunication company.
“I am very passionate about the Kenyan and African music industry. I want to help establish Songa as the leading platform for Local, African and international music in Kenya and on the continent,”
Amani revealed at an interview in June last year about her marriage to Mr Udeala.
