When it comes to entertainment, Kenya is considered the east africa hub. When Chaguo la Teeniez and Kisima awards came to a halt, that’s when Kenyan musicians lacked motivation but all hope is not lost.
Last week, Willy Paul Msafi, Jaguar, Octopizzo, STL and Victoria Kimani are the Kenyan musicians who were nominated to participate in the AFRIMA Awards which will be happening late this year.
Many of them received the good news and quickly shared with their fans through their social media pages and requesting their fans to vote for them.
Although most of them are happy about the news, but the king of East Africa and Uganda is not excited. He expressed his dissatisfaction after he was placed in the dancehall category:
Best Dancehall Artist alongside stonebwoy ( Ghana), Timaya (Nigeria), MC Norman( UG), Wax Dey ( Cameroon), Shatta wale(Ghana), Patoranking ( Nigeria).
Chameleone said that the dancehall category should go to patoranking and told the organizers not to tamper with his title as king of music claiming that favouritism was practiced in nominating some of the artists.
He posted;
Can somebody please tell these Fellaz #AFRIMMA, that I ain't a Dancehall artist?????????? These people should STOP Misallocating Artistes in Favour. "You can Kiss the Ring, You must not touch the Crown" pass the Award to@patorankingfire:::::>>>> @ShattaWale#Ghana stand up!!!!!!#VENOMOUS lets party.
Happy week to all positive minded friends.
