Last week, a team of investigators was set up to investigate the cause of the accident which involved pastor James Ng'ang'a where a person was killed in Limuru last week.
It has now been revealed that the pastor was indeed the one who was driving the range rover after three witnesses mentioned him in the report. According to the witness, they all saw the pastor and even one of them called him by name but he ignored and ran into another vehicle which was also seen fleeing from the scene.
According to reports by the NTV, the Tigoni police did not bother to record statements from the witnesses which also raised suspicion.
New reports also suggests that the pastor illegally been escorted by senior police officers during his visits outside of Nairobi.
An article posted by the Nation newspaper says that the police inspector-general Joseph Boinet was duped into believing that the car did not belong to pastor Ng'ang'a and he went ahead and supported earlier reports which were given to him by the police investigating the matter.
The family of the victim are now waiting on the inspector of police as he contemplated on the next move.
