A middle aged lady was fortunate to have survived a deadly accident yesterday after a pit latrine collapsed while she was answering to a call of nature.
The lady identified as Lillian Bitengo, a mother of four, is admitted at the Kisii Level Five Hospital with serious injuries after the incident at Ibiwe in Ichuni Ward.
The County Director of Disaster Preparedness, Julius Tinega, said that the unfortunate incident was as a result of the ongoing heavy rains that are pounding the area.
He promised to ensure that she gets the medical attention that she deserves.
